JOE AXIAQ
Joe Axiaq, Executive Producer of the Maltese Programs, leads the Maltese group. He was born in Gozo and migrated to Australia in 1974. He is the author of numerous short stories and poems published in anthologies and literary magazines.

MARLENE GALEA
Marlene is the Senior Producer with the Maltese group. She was born in Sydney in 1969, adopted by a Maltese couple and brought up in the island of Gozo. In 1989, Marlene was a Broadcaster with PBS Malta, in the weekly program from Gozo, Mill-Gzira ta' Calypso. Marlene joined the Maltese Language Team in Melbourne in 1998.

TONY SPITERI
Tony was born in Zetjun Malta and migrated to Australia in 1967. He joined SBS in 1995 and broadcasts regularly from Melbourne on activities in the Maltese community. His other interests, music and sports, feature prominently in his evening programs. Tony is also a keen reader.

ANTOINE SAID PULLICINO
Antoine has been with SBS since its inception in 1975. After studying journalism in London, Antoine was co-founder and Managing Director of Malta's daily Il-Hajja newspaper. He was born in Sliema and migrated to Australia in 1974.
