MARCO LUCCHI
Marco Lucchi is the National Executive Producer of the Italian Group. He was born in Rome in 1960 and has worked as a journalist and broadcaster since 1979. He joined the Italian state broadcaster, RAI, in 1989 and first came to Australia in 1991, joining SBS Radio in 1994, where he specialises in news and current affairs, sport, music and cinema. He is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Marco has appeared on Australian radio and television as a commentator on Italian politics and worked as an interpreter during the 2000 Sydney Olympics. His interests include music, both as a critic and a musician, television, cinema and fishing.

MAURIZIO PASCUCCI
Born in Rome in the early 1960s, Maurizio migrated to Australia in 1988. He joined SBS Radio shortly afterwards. Maurizio enjoys news, current affairs and documentary making especially but technical production is also his speciality.
He holds a Graduate Diploma in Film and Television from the Victoria College of the Arts and a B.A. with a major in Film and Television.

LUISA PERUGINI
Luisa was born in Rome. In 1967 she arrived in Sydney with her family, she says against her wishes, but more than 40 years later Luisa is still in the so-called lucky country.
Luisa started working for SBS in 1979 and specialises in political interviews. During her spare time she loves to listen to classical music, watch news and current affairs programs and old movies.

MARIA GRAZIA GISMONDI
Maria Grazia was born in Civitanova Marche, Italy. She migrated to Australia in 1981 and joined SBS shortly after. Maria broadcasts on medical, scientific and cultural issues and she's a regular news presenter.
She has worked as a translator for the Ethnic Affairs Commission, in an Italian women's refuge and taught Italian at Melbourne University.

TONY PALUMBO
Tony was born in Genoa and attended high school and started university in Naples before migrating to Australia in 1968. He began working in the Italian media as soon as he arrived in Sydney and joined SBS Radio (2EA) in 1978. Tony has covered a number of positions: journalist in the central newsroom, head of news, and co-ordinator of the Italian program.
Tony has covered four soccer World Cups for SBS and is a regular panelist on The World Game on SBS Television.

UMBERTO MARTINENGO
Umberto Martinengo was born and raised in Milan. After seeing the world, he ended up in Melbourne, first working with FILEF before joining COASIT as Coordinator of Education Services.
Umberto, who joined SBS Radio in 1982, holds a BA from Milan State University and a DIPED from Latrobe University, Melbourne. Married, divorced, remarried, he has two children and one and a half cats.

MAGICA FOSSATI
Magica Fossati was born in Casale Monferrato, Italy. She grew up in Turin where she graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures with a major in English literature. After a few exploratory visits, she moved to Australia in 2003.
Magica joined SBS at the beginning of 2004. She is also teaching Italian at the University of Melbourne and the Italian Institute of Culture.

MAX CIVILI
Massimiliano (Max) Civili was born in Rome in 1970. After an early approach to radio as sports broadcaster, he shifted his interests to university studies and also played competitive basketball. While completing his Law Degree he started to contribute to Italian newspapers.
Max arrived in Sydney in 2000 and joined SBS Radio one year later where he covers sport, news and current affairs. His main interests are cinema and drawing.
