ABBOUD-SAAB, MAJIDA
Majida Abboud-Saab is the Executive Producer of SBS Radio's Arabic language section. A pioneer in multicultural and multilingual broadcasting for 32 years.
Leading a team of broadcast journalists specialising in news and current affairs, interviewing policy makers, news makers and personalities from around the world, the Arab countries, Australia and the community, facilitating new perspectives beyond the traditional and tackling taboos.
Majida was recognised with several awards for Professional Excellence in Radio and Television Arts and Sciences.
She's an inspiring speaker in Journalism, the media as demonstrated in her guest appearances at the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism, RMIT University, the University of NSW and the UTS University where she was a student in the 80's studying communications.
An Australian of Lebanese ancestry her grand parents migrated to Australia in the 40's and she migrate as a child from Beirut in 1967.

CHEEBO, HUSSAM
Hussam studied Media at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and teaching at Victoria's Deakin University.
Hussam is ranked as Level Three with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). He's developed a primary school Arabic language program for the Victorian education system and special computing programs for the Arabic language. |

EL-HADDAD, HACHEM
Hachem migrated to Australia in 1991. From 1984 to 1990 he studied journalism in Minsk, the capital of the former Soviet Republic of Belarus.
After completing his studies, Hachem worked as a journalist in print and radio in Lebanon and later, Australia. He joined SBS in 1996.

MEZHER, SYLVA
Graduated in Political Sciences from St Joseph University in Beirut. Sylva speaks fluent French and is NAATI level 3 accredited translator.
Sylva has worked as TV and Radio journalist. She has produced and presented many programs highlighting the Australian-Arabic community's concerns.
Sylva has conducted live debates and presented daily talk shows for four years in radio before joining SBS team in the year 2000.

MYSSY, MARIE
Born in Beirut, Marie migrated to Australia from Lebanon in 1975 and joined SBS in 1979. Marie is a NAATI Level Three accredited translator.
She studied Media at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and is a professional French-Arabic translator. Marie's special area of professional interest is the family, multiculturalism and increasing public awareness of racial tolerance.

NAKHOUL, GHASSAN
Winner of SBS Radio's first Walkley award ever and the first Walkley ever for a journalism work in a language other than English. Ghassan won the 2002 Walkley award in the category of Radio Feature, Documentary or Broadcast Special for his documentary 'The Five Mysteries of SIEV X'.
Ghassan has been a journalist since 1979. He graduated in Journalism in 1983 and in 1984 in Political and Administrative Sciences from the Lebanese University in Beirut where he worked as executive editor of two magazines. Ghassan migrated to Australia in 1989. He's written for Australian newspapers and magazines.
He joined SBS in 1991. In 1994 Ghassan won the Philips Electronics Award for an outstanding current affairs report on Young People. In 1997 he won the New South Wales Premier's Youth Media Award. Ghassan is also Fluent in French.
