January 26, 1788 the First Australian Fleet loaded with Britons arrived to Sydney. This is a common knowledge. Much less known fact is the second Australian Fleet, and Lady Juliana boat amongst them. The latter was full of British women, prostitutes, petty thieves and other scam sent to the colony two years later. Down the track they became founders of the new colony. INTERVIEW WITH VAGIF SOULTANOV: 18.2.2009
Vagif Soultanov is the principal founder of Solagran and led the Bioeffectives® research team in St Petersburg in the 1980s. Solagran’s patented technology involves the extraction of the “live elements” of trees in a way that both preserves and amplifies their biological activity. It can be applied to any tree or plant biomass. Vagif has doctoral qualifications in both organic chemistry and biochemistry, and is a registered medical practitioner in Russia. He first came to Australia in 1990 to work with the CSIRO Division of Forest Products as part of an inter-governmental scientific exchange program. He has published over 60 scientific papers in Russia and internationally and holds a number of patents.
