The Voyage of the Beagle: 24.9.2009
On the 1st of September the clipper Stad Amsterdam left on a trip around the world, following in the footsteps of Charles Darwin. The voyage can be followed in the Netherlands on tv or here in Australia via internet. The original voyage has been described as the most important voyage ever made by Charles Darwin who changed the view of evolution. Yvon Davis spoke with Beagle member Henk Bas about this voyage but asked him why a Dutch ship is following in the footsteps of a British voyage:

The clipper Stad Amsterdam will also be in the Australian ports of: Sydney from 9 - 12 Feb 2010, Melbourne 19 - 20 Feb, Adelaide 25 - 27 feb, Perth 10 - 12 March.

YellowBird: 11.8.2009
The Dutch company YellowBird has developed a new filmtechnique where the viewer can decide where to look at moving video images. As viewer you can look in any direction. Rafael Redcsus from YellowBird developed the new software and explained to Yvon Davis how it works and about the website:

Gert van den Bergh - prehistorical elephant: 7.7.2009
Archaeologist Gerrit van den Bergh (See photo), together with his colleagues from the University of Wollongong found the fossil remains of a large elephant, which lived about 200 thousand years ago on the Island of Java, Indonesia. Yvon Davis spoke with him about this recent find:
