National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) students, Julian Aldag and Billie Wilson-Coffey won the coveted Bronze trophy at the 4th World Festival of Circus Art, in Moscow for their act Memento, selected from an international field of 24 acts from 10 countries. NICA congratulates Billie, Julian and NICA Aerial Trainer, Helene Embling, for this wonderful achievement on the international stage.
NICA trainer Ludwig Schukin who travelled with the students, is back in Melbourne and enjoys speaking about the festival.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH SPEAKER OF RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT SERGEY MIRONOV: 18.3.2009
Sergey Mironov, chairman of the upper house of the Russian parliament, believes that deal to sell uranium to Russia struck by the former Howard government will go ahead despite opposition from the Australian Greens. Mr Mironov met Prime Minister Kevin Rudd during his two-day visit to Canberra. During their meeting Mr. Mironov and Mr. Rudd discussed the global economic crisis and Mr Rudd's proposal for an Asia Pacific Community. On Tuesday Sergei Mironov met in Sydney with the Russian community. In the exclusive interview he extends his best wishes to all Russian speaking people in Australia.
