When Suharto died on 13th January, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono urged people to remember Suharto's achievements, despite Transparency International estimates Suharto and his family stole $ 15-35 bn of Indonesia’s national assets. Suharto was buried in the family mausoleum, just outside Solo on the hilltop reserved for the royal family. In this interview Prambudi Sulistiyo explains the spiritual aspect of Suharto as a Javanese leader. Mr. Sulistiyanto is a lecturer in Political and International studies, Faculty of Social Sciences Flinders University
