2008 Sydney Peace Prize winner and proud Yawuru man, Pat Dodson spoke to hundreds of people on how the Australian Government can move beyond symbolism to a framework ensuring accountability for indigenous justice.
Pat Dodson spoke for aid agency Caritas Australia's inaugural lecture to launch this year's Project Compassion.
It aims to support grassroots community development programs, and help educate schools and parishes around the country on how they can broaden the way they view the world.
Mr Dodson says the ideas, energy and enthusiasm of the young people he's spoken with gives him hope for the future of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
