In June last year the Therapeutic Goods Afministration (TGA) approved the use of Gardasil vaccine for females aged 9 to 26 years and males aged 9 to 15 years. From June 2007, school-based program immunisation will start giving Gardasil vaccine to school girls, as the first step in prevention against human papillomavirus (HPV) which cause around 70% of all cervical cancer.
