GAS CHINA AUST: 25.8.2009
AUSTRALIA has signed its largest ever trade deal, worth 50 billion dollars. It's to provide CHINA with more than two-million tonnes of liquified natural gas (LNG) a year for 20 years, from the yet to be developed GORGON project in WESTERN AUSTRALIA.The federal government says the deal could generate around six thousand jobs, and the income will go to funding schools, hospitals, roads and infrastructure across AUSTRALIA for decades.
