Spanish people wanted: 17.11.2009
HMS Monsterrat moored in Australia in 1959 full of Spanish workers seeking employment in the cane fields of Queensland. This marked the beggining of the "Operacion Canguro" migration program. Now, 50 years later, Myriadas Cultural Association in Barcelona is seeking out anyone who may have been on the Monsterrat, their descendants, or people who came from Spain in succesive boats. The stories will be displayed as part of an exhibition both in Spain and Australia. Researcher Lluïsa Vilalta spoke with La Tertulia.

Fernando Ubiergo tours Australia: 12.11.2009
Fernando Ubiergo is one of the most successful singer-songwriters from Chile, with a career spanning more than 30 years. Hola Mexico Film Festival: 10.11.2009
The Hola Mexico Film Festival returns to Australia for its fourth year to showcase the best popular and arthouse films from that country. Highlights will be the multi award-wining Sin Nombre, the selection of films from the “Golden Age” of Mexican cinema and the commemoration of 99 years of the Mexican Revolution. The festival kicks off to the tune of ¡Viva la Revolución! on 18 November in Sydney, and will be followed by dates in all major capital cities. Made in Catalonia Film Festival 2009: 21.10.2009
In October 23-25 Melbourne will host the Made in Catalonia Film festival, a selection of films from the autonomous Spanish community. In this second edition, the festival will also take place for the first time in Brisbane and Sydney after receiving support from multiple organisations.

Interview Oscar Herrero: 19.10.2009

Aterciopelados in Australia: 7.10.2009
They are one of the most influential bands in the rock scene in the world, with a unique style combining Colombia’s folk music with rock, punk, bossa and salsa.

Felipe Browne: 22.9.2009

Surviving Guazapa: 14.9.2009

Per sé: 14.9.2009
Per se is an interpretation of Jean Genet’s play Haute Surveillance, and is being performed in one of Melbourne’s most unlikely performance spaces: an abandoned underground car park. Per se’s director, Ivan Sikic, reckons the space brought out certain emotions and physical reactions in his actors, which didn’t come out in other places.

The Australian Ballet's principal dancer, Yosvani Ramos, came to Australia after touring extensively with such prestigious companies as the Paris Opera Ballet and the English National Ballet.
