Oktobarski Salon: 11.11.2009
October Art salon is a representative event featuring actual tendencies in the domain of visual arts, founded under the auspices of the City of Belgrade. It was established in 1960 as an exhibition of the best works in the sphere of fine arts. In 1967 it became an important review of the current trends in applied arts, too. October Salon represents modern Serbian art of the second half of the 20th century. We were talking to PR, Mr. Mica Karic.

Free Zone- Ms Branka Pavlovic: 11.11.2009
Free Zone is 5th festival of documentary and a long play film held in Belgrade from 6th -11th November. This year there were two venues, The Belgrade Cultural Centre and Cinema "Balkan".

Wednesday Mornings: 5.11.2009
Wednesday Mornings is an exhibition of paintings by the Preston Women’s Art Group. The exhibition will be opened by Marina Celebic of the Serbian Welfare Association of Victoria.

Serbian Army in WWI 1914-1918: 5.11.2009
To mark the anniversary of the November Armistice which ended the First World War in 1918, St Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Church organises a History Night dedicated to army’s sacrifice in this conflict. Date and time: Saturday 7 November. The evening will commence at 6pm with church services and the history program will start at 7.30pm. Melissa Kozlina tells us more.

Interview Gojko Mitic : 21.10.2009
Do you know who Gojko Mitic is?
If you would ask the same question people in East Germany they would instantly know because for them Mitic is a Super Movie Star. He is best known for a series of successful Red Westerns from the GDR DEFA Studios, featuring Native Americans. Beginning with The Sons of the Great Mother Bear (1966), Mitić starred in 12 films of this type between 1966 and 1984. His film Chingachgook: The Great Snake will be presented to the public in Melbourne as a part of East German Film Festival (Thursday 22 October - Tuesday 3 November 2009).

Serbian Film Festival: 19.10.2009
This year marks the ninth year of screening of Serbian films to Australian audience. Festival secretary Milica Kozlina told us that this year, for the first time, festival has been held in two additional cities: Canberra and Wollongong. She also talks about next year special program for the Festival’s 10th anniversary. In our studio we also had a special guest, an actor Fedja Stojanovic whose movie Love and Other Crimes opens festival in all cities. More information on www.serbianfilmfestival.org.au.

Zvrk's 10th anniversary : 15.10.2009
Radio of Republic of Srpska broadcasts programme of its own production 24/7. The programme is aired on the territory of the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, parts of Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, and can also be listened to worldwide via internet. One of the shows with the considerable listener ship is ZVRK talking about ordinary life in the satirical and humorous way. On the 1st of January next year this show is marking ten years of broadcasting. "We have survived hard times and low-water just in spite" said Zvrk's editor and author Borislav Mitrovic for SBS.
