GREEK RADIO WATER TANK COMPETITION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS


METHOD OF ENTRY

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry is open to Australian residents only. Employees of SBS, Blue Scope Steel and the Ethnic Communities council of NSW and their immediate families are ineligible. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of entry. Whilst the competition is open to all Australian residents, free delivery of the major prize will only be available to residents of particular areas of NSW and VIC as specified in Item 7 below.

3. The Water Tank Competition commences on 17/2/08 at 0700 AEST and ends on 18/4/08 at 1900 AEST.

4. To enter, entrants must list their top 3 tips for saving water, with a maximum word limit of 25 words. Entries must include the entrants name, phone number, and address.

5. Entrants may submit entries by post addressed to Water Tank Competition, at:

All entries must be original, no photocopies or facsimiles will be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost, or redirected mail.

6. Only one entry per person may be submitted. All entries become and remain the property of SBS.

PRIZES

7. The Major Prize winner will receive from BlueScope Steel a slimline steel water tank of 4,000 litres, with a retail price of approximately $2100. This prize includes delivery of the tank to the home of the Major Prize winner (installation not included), provided that the winner resides in one of the following locations:

a. NSW: Sydney, Wollongong / Southern Highlands, Newcastle and Blue Mountains areas only, or
b. VIC: Melbourne and Ballarat only; and the winner must be located within 30km of the town centre of any location mentioned above to qualify for free delivery.

8. All valid entries are automatically entered into the Major Prize draw. The Major Prize winner will be selected by representatives of the Department of Environmental and Climate Change and the ECC of NSW. The Major Prize winner will be notified by phone and/or mail. Names of winners will be announced in The Greek Program at 7.30am AEST on 4th May 2008, and published on the SBS website.

9. The Major Prize winner is responsible for all costs not expressly listed in paragraph 7 including without limitation, the costs of installation, and the cost of delivery if the winner does not live within the areas specified in paragraph 7. The Major Prize winner is also responsible for obtaining any permits or permissions which may be required to use the water tank in their home.

10. All prizes are as depicted or described in the promotions for the competition and are not subject to change.

11. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred in connection with taking up the prizes.

12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

FINAL CONDITIONS

13. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon literary and creative merit. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.

14. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. Entries may also be disqualified if they are illegible. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15. All entries become and remain the property of SBS. SBS may use the entrants' names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.

16. SBS and blue Scope Steel assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the rights in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. Subject to State Regulation.

17. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the SBS Privacy Officer. Unless otherwise notified, SBS may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by SBS.
