Germany revisited - Brandenburg
Brandenburg has been a state since 1990. But its origins date back to the 12th century. It’s a poorly developed state, compared to the rest of Germany, particularly the affluent West, but it’s slowly catching up. There has been talk of an amalmagation with Berlin for well over a decade now, with little progress. But Brandenburg’s 2.6 million inhabitants don’t seem to be too fussed, and look forward to the future. Christian Froelicher and Oliver Heuthe report.
