Duo Artus was founded by Krzysztof Kaczka (flute) and Perry Schack (guitar) in 2003. The musicians met as young students at the Mozarteum in Salzburg/Austria.
In 2006, Duo Artus won second place at the NFA Chamber Music Competition in Pittsburgh. The following year they were awarded three gold medals at the Chamber Music Competition „Citta di Barletta“ in Italy. The Duo is also winner of the IBLA Grand Prize World Music Competition in Sicily and of the Piazzolla Prize. As IBLA winner, Duo Artus gave their debut in New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2008.
Duo Artus perform in Polish Consulate on Sunday 25 October at 6 pm.
