Interview Gojko Mitic

Do you know who Gojko Mitic is?
If you would ask the same question people in East Germany they would instantly know because for them Mitic is a Super Movie Star. He is best known for a series of successful Red Westerns from the GDR DEFA Studios, featuring Native Americans. Beginning with The Sons of the Great Mother Bear (1966), Mitić starred in 12 films of this type between 1966 and 1984. His film Chingachgook: The Great Snake will be presented to the public in Melbourne as a part of East German Film Festival (Thursday 22 October - Tuesday 3 November 2009).
